Susan Hayward Susan Hayward was born Edythe Marrenner this day 1917 in Brooklyn, New York.   She died on March 14 1975 from brain cancer which is speculated that she may of been affected by radioactive fallout from Atomic Bomb testing while making The Conqueror (1956) with John Wayne, Agnes Moorehead and Pedro Armendariz who all succumbed to cancer related illnesses. Susan began her career as a photographer's model but travelled to Hollywood in 1937 hoping to secure the role of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind.  She was unsuccessful but did go on to play in Beau Geste with Gary Cooper (1939), acted with John Wayne twice and went on to star in many films through to 1970s.

Vintage Swatch Swatch Watches started off in 1983 when a Nicholas G Hayek thought that people needed a second watch, leaving their expensive watches to be worn only for very best.  These second watches were inexpensive and funky and expressed the wearers individuality.  By 2006, they had sold 333 million watches and are still going strong.   Some of the early watches are now becoming highly collectable. The 1983 GT403 retails at $1200 1984 Grey Memphis GM100 $1200 Here are a few of my favourites: Aqua Dream 1986 Cosmoses by Alessandro Mendini 1986 Ping Pong White Mackintosh 1987 Tennis Stripes 1983 Hello Petula
